And I'm feeling good. God BLESS America. I am so proud of my country today, so proud that in my own lifetime we have gone from separate public restrooms, water fountains, entrances for blacks and whites to having a mixed-race president-elect whose middle name is Hussein. Obama faces more challenges than perhaps any president-elect. I am confident he will meet those challenges.
I stayed up last night as late as I could. When Pennsylvania results came in for Obama, I went to bed. This morning I jumped out to see the results. And then I cried. I watched Obama's speech on the internet, tears streaming down my face. All I can say now is I'm proud to be an American.

I woke up at 3.55 just as the BBC agreed that Obama had won, it was spectaular.
Change has happened and will continue for some time to come.

It's past noon and I've not been to bed yet. I'm going to need to force myself to take a nap soon, but I've just been so giddy, relieved, and ecstatic, I've not been able to even think about sleeping.
I am so proud this morning.
One one of the morning shows, they talked about "high expectations" for Obama and will he be held to a different set of standards?
Damn, I hope he is. The expectations and standards of the last eight years have been so incredibly low.
We are so ready for this. So ready. Even my conservative small town voted in higher numbers for Obama. That says SO much.
There is much work to be done. But today is a day for plain grinning.
I'm so glad you got the result you wanted :)
Today is a good day for America!
I'm walking around here in Chicago and everyone is smiling!!!
Hi,
It's such an amazing day!Everybody is rejoicing in Miami!
Take care.

We're pretty happy in Virginia, too, which voted blue for the first time since 1964. I feel confident. I haven't felt that way wrt my government for 8 years. Happy Day...
What a fantastic outcome! I'm not one to follow politics, but I'm glad of the way this one went.
He is amazingly charismatic and very able. A great moment in history for us all I think. I laughed when I saw Palin trying not to cry. Her plans to knock off McCain and become the first woman president to rule the free world have been thwarted!
Good Luck to all Americans, I think they have a lot to look forward to.

I cried like hell too and I haven't an American bone in my body! A truly wondrous day. But what a hell of a job he has poor fellow.
Yes, you should be.
I'm right there with you babe!
