The Weather's Been Too Good To Be Indoors Blogging

So I've taken a rest. Well, not really a rest. I've been working in the garden, taking Jake on ever longer walks, getting pissed off at hubby, and running interference between hubby and children. Oh, and talking to my mother every single day about not much of anything.

At this point in time, I'd like to say RIP to a few of my favourite bloggers: Chantay, Debio, Pixie, and Vi. All have retired from the blogging world, and my world is the sadder for it.

But meantime I must go to the vet's (not the one Jake bit) and pick up his glucosamine chondroit.

I certainly find myself spending less time at the computer now the weather is better and I can get outside more!

Hey, what's the mg breakdown on the glucosamin chondrotin?

Toby's lame again and I'm starting him on some GC that my mom bought in the States. I asked the vet about dosage and he read me the bottle he had, which was 1800 mg. Glucosamine and 750 mg. chondroitin.

The pills I have 500mg Glucosamine and 400mg Chondroitin, so I don't really have an easy way to convert to the vet's dosage.

Chrisb: It's a nice change, isn't it?

-ann: Apparently, the best source of glucosamine is green-lipped mussels, according to our vet. Jake takes Synoquin. The dosage is based on the size and weight of your dog. Jake takes two capsules a day.

I've been blogging far less as well. I think it is indeed due to the weather. I find myself outside far more right now. It's important to enjoy the outdoors in spring in Oklahoma, because the summer is unbearable hot.

kaycie: Our weather here is completely unpredictable. One year might be nice and hot; another, wet and cold. Last year we had horrible weather for the summer. This year, May is gorgeous. That's the thing about British weather: it keeps you on your toes. The saying "Make hay while the sun shines" was definitely coined in this country.

Hi there. I just caught up with your posts. Mu God, you have really been through the mill lately. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes but I was at one time. The distance thing when you have a family/career going on makes taking care of elderly parents a thousand times harder than if you live locally. Also having to deal with the dog and your husbad's low self esteem and rocking the boat at home - tough times for everyone but more in particular you. Hope you are finding ways to relax but I guess that is pretty hard right now.

Say a prayer to St Jude - he's the patron saint of hopeless cases - I'm often on the wire to him for help here and there!

Chin up and may the road rise up to meet you.

mob: Yes, I think you've had your fair share of tough times too. Never mind. This too shall pass, maybe not in a happy ending way, but it will end.

bb: welcome back to the blogging world. I can't wait to see you Friday.
